Subies really can fly!!! (70' Jump)
On a cold October day, our team and a small film crew set out to attempt a sucessful rally car jump over a massive 70 foot X-Games spec gap jump in the team's newest rally car, "Godzilla"!!!!!
It was early in our gravel rally career. We had planned a Gumball STI Racing video/photo shoot to help bring awareness to our team.
We've always set our goals high and decided to step up and tackle the challenging X-Games rally car jump.
Figuring it would take time to qualify for X-Games and hit the actual jump, we decided to build our own. After months of planning and approvals we finally had access to a private testing facility and a massive 70' gap jump similar to X-Games rally.
The build was sketchy, the run-in was too short, and the landing was way too narrow...with the odds sta
cked against us we pushed forward to take it on!!
